Hands-On Azure Cloud Engineer – Secure Enterprise Platforms & Zero Trust
Agilus is recruiting for an Azure Cloud Engineer in the financial services industry in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
This role is ideal for a deeply hands-on Azure Cloud Engineer who thrives on execution and ownership. You’ll design, build, secure, and operate enterprise-grade Azure environments with a strong focus on networking, security, governance, and automation. Working across infrastructure, data, and platform services, you’ll troubleshoot complex issues, enforce Zero Trust principles, and deliver reliable cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code.
A typical day:

Design and operate Azure compute, storage, and backup solutions
Build and manage secure Azure networking and hybrid connectivity
Implement Private Endpoint and Private Link architectures
Deploy and manage Azure API Management and secure API integrations
Enforce Zero Trust security models across cloud platforms
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep
Implement Azure policies, landing zones, and governance controls

Successful candidates will have:

Strong knowledge of identity, RBAC, and modern authentication models
Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-service Azure environments
Experience implementing Zero Trust security principles
Strong documentation and technical communication skills
Ability to own solutions end to end and work independently
Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting Azure production environments
Deep expertise with Azure networking, security, and core services
Proven experience using Bicep and IaC-driven deployments
