Power high-impact projects with electrical design leadership !Agilus is recruiting for a Design Lead – Electrical in the Engineering industry in Toronto, Ontario. The Design Lead – Electrical is responsible for leading the electrical design function across multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence, quality control, and timely delivery. This role combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities to mentor design teams, coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, and serve as the primary electrical authority on assigned projects.
The Design Lead plays a key role in maintaining design standards, optimizing project delivery, and driving innovation within the electrical discipline.
Total rewards:- $100000.00 - $115000.00 annually

Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed electrical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD, including :Power distribution systems, Lighting and lighting controls, Fire alarm and life safety systems, Grounding and bonding, Low-voltage systems (data, security, access control, AV)
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance on drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Manage design deliverables and review submissions prior to issuance
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code, local authority requirements)

- Participate in site visits and commissioning activities as required
Successful candidates will have:- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing (or eligible for registration)
- 8+ years of progressive electrical design experience within a consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and relevant industry standards
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or equivalent)
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
