Senior Communications Advisor - 1 Year Contract

We are looking for a candidate with strong public affairs, stakeholder engagement, community relations experience for an exciting contract opportunity
Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Communications Advisor - 1 Year Contract in the Oil and Gas Industry in Burnaby, Kamloops or Edmonton, Alberta.
As a Senior Communications Advisor you will take part in engagement and communications related to base business and capital/major projects along the pipeline corridor between Edmonton, Alberta and the BC Interior.
Total rewards:

$60.00 - $80.00 hourly
1 year contract opportunity with possibility of extension

A typical day:

Lead stakeholder engagement for projects across Alberta and BC Interior to support corporate goals
Develop and implement regional communication and engagement strategies
Monitor and manage stakeholder issues, including regulatory and community concerns
Coordinate with internal teams to address community inquiries and align messaging
Create external communications for web and social media, ensuring message consistency
Support regulatory filings with strategic engagement input to meet compliance
Manage assigned projects within scope, budget, and timelines
Represent communications during crises, participating in ICS and required training

The successful candidate brings:

University Degree in Communications, Engagement, Arts, or related field
10+ years of professional experience with a background in energy, infrastructure, or government; oil & gas sector is an asset
Membership/designation with IABC, CPRS, IAPP, or equivalent a nice to have
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, and communications
Trained in conflict resolution, facilitation, media relations, and crisis communications (ICS 100, JIC)
Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
Flexible, detail-oriented, and thrives under pressure in dynamic environments
Valid drivers license required, a class 5 driver’s license would be an asset; travel (10%-15%) and occasional after-hours/weekend support required.
