Agilus is recruiting for a Java Developer in the Financial Sector in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Java-based applications on AS400 and cloud platforms.
Participate in front-end UI development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Support unit testing, integrated system tests, and production deployment activities.
Maintain and update technical documentation and system design artifacts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and architects, to understand and implement business requirements.
Engage proactively to identify and resolve technical issues across projects.
Rapidly learn and apply new technologies and development processes.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience as a Java Developer with strong SQL skills.
8+ years of experience with SOAP, JSON, and RESTful services.
8+ years of experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Further additional qualifications:

3+ years of experience with JSP development.
Knowledge of IBM technologies such as IBM WebSphere, IBM DB2, and IBM MQ.
Experience in AIX/Unix environments.
Proficiency with build tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
Experience with Eclipse-based development environments.
Familiarity with collaboration tools like Confluence and Jira.
Exposure to static code analysis tools such as Fortify, Blackduck, or WebInspect.
