Agilus is recruiting for a Recycling Plant Sorter in the Industrial Sector in Scarborough, Ontario.

Recycling Plant Sorters are the vital first step in the process of creating a more sustainable future. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring valuable materials are recovered and given a new life, contributing to a greener planet right here in Scarborough. We are looking to build a pool of candidates for this exciting upcoming opportunity!
How you will make an impact:

Manually sorting cardboard and plastic materials from a moving conveyor belt
Ensuring that non-recyclable contaminants are removed
Working closely with a supportive team to meet daily processing goals and maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Successful candidates will have:

Reliability and Punctuality: We need team members who are dependable and committed to working an early morning shift
Attention to Detail: You'll need to be able to quickly and accurately identify different types of materials
Physical Stamina: This role requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
Positive Attitude: You bring a can-do spirit to work each day
Required PPE: To ensure your safety, you will be required to bring your own steel toe safety boots (which are 6-8 inches high above the ankle), and will be required to wear provided ear, eyes, and head PPE

Total rewards:

$20.22 hourly

Pay Schedule: Employees receive weekly pay, distributed every Friday. 4% vacation pay included with every deposit.
