E&I Reliability Specialist

Agilus is recruiting for a E&I Reliability Specialist in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Reporting to the Reliability Programs Lead, the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Reliability Specialist is responsible for Asset Strategy and Asset Care as it applies to the reliability of electrical and instrumentation assets in O&L - Products

A typical day:
  • • Lead MES Analyze and Improve for E&I equipment – identification, investigation, solution development and implementation
  • • Lead periodic review of E&I equipment performance and strategy effectiveness to identify improvement opportunities. Submit Project Initiation Charter, where required.
  • • Review Projects E&I assets from maintainability and reliability perspective - integration into existing Reliability Programs
  • • Lead adoption of MES Best Practice for E&I discipline
  • • Ensure E&I equipment strategies are created and approved within GE APM for criticality A, B, and C prioritizing based on asset criticality
  • • Ensure PM mitigation actions are implemented as per approved equipment strategy
  • • Ensure list of materials to address failure mode risks including sparing strategy shall be identified during equipment strategy development
  • • Review Projects E&I assets from maintainability and reliability perspective - inte. Provide advance troubleshooting and/or root cause failure analysis support gration into existing Reliability Programs

Successful candidates will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering
  • Ten or more years in reliability engineering and management with experience in E&I engineering
  • Knowledge of design, maintenance, testing and commissioning of E&I equipment
  • Experience with management of change (MOC) processes and workflow . Understanding and knowledge of applicable industry standards
  • Working knowledge of Hazardous Area installations.Experienced in the application/selection and installation of field instruments and valves
  • HAZOP experience
  • Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Knowledge of Electric Heat Trace (EHT) design, maintenance and troubleshooting
