Accounting Manager

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Accounting Manager in the town of in Halton Hills,, Ontario. The Accounting Manager oversees auditing, the Bookkeeping Program, and the Centralized Payment Program at Head Office, while supporting key financial operations. The ideal candidate brings proven full-cycle accounting experience. Total rewards:- $80000.00 - $90000.00 annually
- Hybrid work model: 2 remote days and 3 in-office days per week (will be fully remote until the new office opens in Fall 2026).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
- Comprehensive group benefits after 3 months of employment: 50% employer paid, 50% employee paid
- Paid vacation package, three weeks annually.
- Monthly cell phone allowance is provided, along with a company-issued laptop and any required home office equipment.
- Company travel opportunities within Canada (ex: annual team conference)
A typical day:- Guide franchise partners on financial reporting, project costing, and revenue tracking.
- Conduct royalty audits and validate revenue reporting.
- Manage centralized payments and accounts receivable activities.
- Monitor outstanding balances and support cash flow improvements.
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including reconciliations and month-end/year-end processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Maintain financial records and support tax compliance requirements.
- Prepare and analyze reports while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Successful candidates will have:- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to the full accounting cycle.
- Solid understanding of Canadian accounting practices, indirect tax filings, and account reconciliation processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with advanced attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using QuickBooks Online; familiarity with construction accounting, project-based operations, or job costing is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.
