Agilus is recruiting for several Room Attendants in the Hospitality sector in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
A Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and well-presented guest rooms in a hotel or hospitality setting. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing rooms, making beds, replenishing linens and amenities, vacuuming, and reporting maintenance issues. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing excellent guest experiences.
Total rewards:

$16.75 hourly
Weekly Pay + 4% vacation pay
Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
1-3 month contract
Weekdays + Weekends

Duties:

Clean and service a minimum of 15 guestrooms per shift, including a mix of checkouts and stayovers, in accordance with hotel productivity and quality standards
Perform full cleaning of assigned guestrooms, including dusting all surfaces and fixtures, stripping and making beds, vacuuming, mopping floors, and thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
Ensure all rooms are fully stocked with required supplies such as towels, linens, toiletries, and in-room amenities
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stock levels on the housekeeping cart throughout the shift Restock, clean, and prepare the housekeeping cart at the end of the shift for the next day
Keep supervisors informed of work progress, challenges, or any issues requiring attention
Respond to guest requests in a courteous and professional manner and communicate any concerns to the appropriate department
Follow all standard operating procedures for entering, cleaning, and securing guest rooms, including proper knocking and respecting Do Not Disturb signs

The successful candidate brings:

1 year of previous Room attendant experience required
Ability to clean 15 rooms of varying sizes and bed counts
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, stoop or reach with your body and arms repeatedly without difficulty
Ability to work on your feet for the entire shift.
Oral and Written Comprehension and Expression - Must be able to convey & understand information and ideas in English
Available for 1-3 month contract
