Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for multiple Waste Collectors in the Waste Management Industry in Halifax, Dartmouth, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
Our client is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join their residential waste collection team. This is a casual, on-call position with the potential to become full-time for the right candidates. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and offers an active work environment with early morning starts.
We offer:

$18.00 hourly
Paid weekly + 4% vacation pay
Locations: Halifax, Dartmouth, or Lower Sackville
Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM
Potential for full-time employment based on performance and business needs

Responsibilities:

Assist with residential garbage collection on assigned routes
Lift, move, and empty waste and recycling containers
Work safely around collection vehicles and residential areas
Follow all health and safety procedures
Maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude throughout the shift
Perform other general labour duties as required

Requirements:

Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift, lifting 50-70 pounds repetitively
Must have reliable transportation
Must have your own 8' CSA approved steel toed boots, safety vest and gloves
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work well as part of a team
Previous labour experience is considered an asset but is not required
