Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for several Residential Garbage Collectorss in the Waste Management sector in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Are you looking for a physically active role where you can work outdoors and be part of a team that helps keep the community clean? We are currently hiring Garbage Collection helpers to assist with residential waste collection and disposal.
What's in it for you:

$18.00 hourly
Paid weekly + 4% vacation pay
Consistent day shifts starting at 7:00 AM
Potential for role to become permanent
Work with an established and supportive team

You will:

Ride on the rear platform of a garbage collection truck and assist with residential waste pickup
Ensure no waste is left behind at the pickup locations
Monitor the area around the truck to keep operations safe for pedestrians and vehicles
Collect, load, and dispose of waste materials safely and efficiently
Assist with general labour duties as required

Requirements:

Ability to lift 50-70 pounds repetitively
Reliable transportation
Must have your own 8' CSA approved steel toed boots, safety vest and gloves
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Flexible to perform other general labour tasks as required
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
