Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Bilingual Financial Analyst (French/English) in the enegy and utilities industry in a hybrid work environment in Gatineau, Quebec.
This is a 1-year contract opportunity.
A day in the life:

Support month-end activities including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting
Prepare and distribute monthly and annual financial statements with commentary
Analyze financial variances related to budgets, expenses, revenues, and forecasts
Provide reports, financial data, and ad hoc analysis to support business decisions
Assist with interim and year-end audits and regulatory reporting requirements
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Review and improve financial processes, reporting, and modeling tools for efficiency
Contribute across various Finance team functions and support accounting policy decisions under US GAAP

You bring:

Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion will be considered as an asset
Knowledge of Taxation related matters both Federal and Quebec Tax Compliance Regimes.
Knowledge of project profitability assessment methods and investment decision making criteria would be considered an asset.
Ability to assimilate and apply complex theoretical concepts
Professional accounting designation and 7 years + of relevant work experience
Strong communication skills (oral and written). Bilingual proficiency in both French and English is required
Excellent understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite and very strong demonstrated Excel skills
