Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Specialist Engineering I&C in the Oil and Gas Sector in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
In this role, the job seeker will be responsible for maintaining plant automation and process control networks and firewalls in a complex operating environment.
Total rewards:

$75.00 - $80.00 hourly
6 Months of contract position
5 days on / 2 days off

A typical day:

Perform work on OT communication systems for both new installations / expansions and maintain the existing systems.
Perform daily system monitoring using management applications.
Build, install and commission new systems to support growth of the infrastructure and maintain existing infrastructure with reliability and cybersecurity.
Troubleshoot system and network issues, and provide solutions to problems, including after hours on-call support.
Ensure system reliability through scheduled preventative maintenance activities and document new technical procedures or update existing, as required.
Adhere to and apply our safety policies, standards and values in the execution of your work.

Successful candidates will have:

Eight or more years of system administration experience in networks and firewalls.
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Technology.
Extensive experience configuring and supporting OT networking and firewalls.
Experience in cybersecurity and best practices in OT environments.
Field experience with troubleshooting and implementation of network equipments.
