Hands-On Shop Technician Needed | $31.75/hr | Equipment Maintenance & Inventory
Agilus is recruiting for a Shop Technician in the Oil and Gas industry in Fort Mcmurray, Alberta.
This Shop Technician role is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who thrives in a hands-on shop and warehouse environment. You’ll support equipment readiness, inventory control, and preventative maintenance while working independently at times with minimal supervision. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment is maintained, organized, and ready to support field operations safely and efficiently.
Total rewards:

$31.75 hourly
Earn a competitive pay rate of $31.75/hr
Work in a stable shop and warehouse environment on a long-term contract
Receive company-provided PPE and safety equipment
Gain exposure to industrial and refinery-related equipment
Build long-term mechanical and equipment maintenance experience
Work with experienced operations and mechanical professionals
Maintain a consistent schedule in a non-rotational role

Responsibilities:

Maintain shop inventory in an organized and efficient manner
Pull, stage, and restock equipment and parts for projects
Load and unload trucks and receive incoming deliveries
Perform preventative maintenance on shop and rental equipment
Inspect equipment before and after each project
Complete minor equipment repairs as required
Reconcile returns against original shipping documentation
Deliver equipment to job sites when needed

Requirements:

Operate a forklift safely and confidently and hold a valid forklift license
Use hand tools for inspection, maintenance, and repairs
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical training
Work independently with minimal supervision
Maintain strong organizational and inventory skills
Use computers comfortably for basic documentation
Hold a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
Pass drug and alcohol testing and a criminal background check
