Operations Technician – Build Your Technical Career in Fort McMurray!Agilus is recruiting for an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas industry in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Join a growing technical operations team supporting both shop and field activities in Fort McMurray. This role offers hands on mechanical work, pump diagnostics, inventory management, and exposure to specialized service lines, with strong opportunities for long term growth. Total rewards:- $31.75 - $41.28 hourly
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Shop rate: $31.75/hr, OT at $47.63/hr
- Field rate: $38.10/hr, OT at $57.10/hr
- Lead field rate: $41.28/hr, OT at $61.92/hr
- Mix of shop maintenance and field project work
- Opportunity for full time conversion after ~6 months
- Structured team based training across multiple service lines

Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair pumps and related equipment
- Perform part ordering and maintain accurate inventory
- Complete shop tasks including cleaning, organizing, and inspections
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly equipment checks
- Support field crews on project-based work as required
- Participate in training for MPM and OTS operations
- Operate shop and field equipment safely, including forklifts
- Follow all client and internal safety policies and procedures
Requirements:- Mechanically inclined with strong hands-on technical ability; Valid forklift certification
- Experience with pumps considered an asset
- Proficient with basic computer tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Able to work independently and collaborate with a small team
- Willing to travel and comfortable working alone when needed
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Able to pass drug/alcohol testing, background check & driver’s abstract
- Local to Fort McMurray strongly preferred
