Lead Shipper – Hands-On Leadership Role in Outbound Logistics with Competitive Pay, Training Stipend & Retention BonusesAgilus is recruiting for a Lead Shipper in the manufacturing industry in Ferndale, Washington. Agilus Work Solutions is hiring a Lead Shipper to run day-to-day outbound shipping for a high-volume manufacturing facility. You’ll lead a small team on the floor, set priorities, verify loads, and serve as the final quality gate before product leaves the building. This is a hands-on role focused on safe loading, damage prevention, and on-time delivery—ideal for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, physical, team-driven environment. Total rewards:- $24.00 - $32.00 hourly
- $50/day training travel stipend during training period

A typical day:- Lead, train, and direct shipping team members in daily activities
- Assign tasks, manage workflow, and ensure shipping deadlines are met
- Act as on-the-floor decision maker for shipping priorities and issues
- Enforce safety standards and proper equipment/PPE use
- Verify shipments against pick lists and load manifests for accuracy
- Perform final quality checks before sealing trailer doors
- Identify and correct packaging or handling issues proactively
- Communicate discrepancies or damage risks to management immediately
Successful candidates will have:- Proven experience in shipping/warehouse or outbound logistics leadership
- Strong attention to detail with a quality- and accuracy-first mindset
- Knowledge of safe loading practices and damage prevention
- Clear communication and practical problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and adjust workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with physical work: lift up to 50 lbs; stand/walk/bend/reach for shift
- Basic proficiency with shipping documentation and load verification
- Safety-oriented mentality with accountability and integrity
