Our client is seeking a Technical Sales & Applications Manager to lead the inside sales and applications function for a growing industrial manufacturer. This role combines team leadership, customer engagement, quotation management, costing, and technical problem-solving, serving as the key link between customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing operations.
Total rewards:

$120000.00 annually

Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a technical inside sales and applications team
Manage the quotation, estimating, and proposal process
Review customer requirements and recommend technical solutions
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on custom projects
Support costing activities and maintain profitability targets
Build relationships with customers, distributors, and industry partners
Monitor sales opportunities and ensure timely customer follow-up
Drive continuous improvement of sales and application processes

Requirements:

Demonstrate experience leading inside sales, applications, or customer service teams
Possess a Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, CET, or related technical background
Bring experience working within an industrial manufacturing environment
Show a strong understanding of quotations, estimating, and costing processes
Communicate effectively with customers, engineering teams, and operations personnel
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Utilize ERP and CRM systems to manage opportunities and customer activity
Exhibit leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop others
