Snr Structural Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for a Snr Structural Engineer in the Building Industry in Edmonton, Alberta. Fantastic opportunity for a Snr Structural Engineer to work a full time permanent position for a well known Edmonton company.
Open role for an Engineer who specializes in commercial buildings.
Projects can vary from $3M to $80M
Project length is typically 3months to 9months
Clients 1 to 2 week turnarounds on shop drawings

Responsibilities:- Able to communicate effectively with building owners, architects, and contractors to communicate design intent, project direction and timelines, rough cost comparison, etc.
- Able to develop and maintain departmental procedures and processes, ensuring that design documentation standards are maintained
- Able to keep track of and provide input to multiple projects at once.
- Permit drawings, the permitting process, and the construction processes.
- Must have experience specializing in commercial buildings.
Requirements:- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in commercial, multi-dwelling units, and institutional structural engineering including wood framed, concrete, steel, and masonry buildings.
- Minimum five years of experience in management and/or leadership roles.
- Experience in designing works, providing structural details, and preparing specifications for the project.
- Understanding of and experience in using structural modeling software such as ETABS, SAFE, and S-Frame.
- Experience managing multiple projects from conception to completion.
- Registered as a P. Eng. with APEGA
