Snr Electrical Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for a Snr Electrical Engineer in the Oil & Gas Industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex projects involving electrical power systems for industrial and utility applications. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and leadership to deliver innovative solutions and exceptional client service
Total rewards:

100K - 165K annually
Bonus: Based on company performance
Vacation: 3 to 4 Weeks, flexible based on Experience
RRSP Matching: Starts at 3% and goes up based on tenure

Responsibilities:

Perform and authenticate electrical designs for low, medium, and high voltage systems.
Develop industrial control schemes, control narratives, and automatic power transfer implementations.
Conduct electrical power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, motor starting, harmonics, grounding).
Configure and set protective relays (SEL, GE, ABB) and develop relay logic.
Utilize software tools such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, EMTP, CDGES for system analysis
Apply Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and IEEE standards for compliance.
Oversee projects from planning to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Identify new opportunities and develop proposals.

Requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering with eligibility for professional engineering designation.
Extensive knowledge of electrical power systems for industrial and utility applications
Proven experience in project management and client engagement
Proficiency in power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower).
Familiarity with CEC and IEEE standards.
Ideal candidate will come from EPC companies that specialize in high voltage utilities work background
