Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Accountant in the Staffing Services Sector in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta.
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and insightful reporting that supports informed business decisions. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and brings both technical strength and sound judgment to the Finance team.

How you will make an impact:

Own month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Prepare accurate financial statements and internal and external financial reports
Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and company policies
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive business insights
Contribute to audit preparation, internal reviews, and documentation requirements
Partner with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes and data integrity
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections activities as required

The successful candidate brings:

Strong knowledge of GAAP, with IFRS experience considered an asset
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Progress toward CPA designation
4+ years of relevant accounting experience, including some audit exposure
French-English bilingual communication skills (written and verbal)
Proven experience using Power BI and SQL to analyze and report on financial data
Hands-on experience with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities in deadline-driven environments
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
