Lead Capital Project Purchasing for Major Infrastructure BuildsAgilus is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist in the Utilities sector in Edmonton, Alberta. Join a dynamic Supply Chain team supporting large scale capital projects across North America. In this advanced procurement role, you’ll lead end to end sourcing for construction and professional services, develop competitive procurement strategies, negotiate complex contracts, and build strong supplier relationships to support major utility infrastructure initiatives. Total rewards:- $50.00 - $70.00 hourly
- Hourly pay range of $50–$55 T4 or $65–$70 INC
- Six month contract with potential extension
- Primarily Edmonton based

Responsibilities:- Lead end to end procurement and contracting processes
- Develop sourcing strategies for construction and professional services
- Prepare RFx and contract documents with internal stakeholders
- Facilitate supplier evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations
- Build and maintain supplier relationships and long term contracts
- Assess market conditions and recommend procurement approaches
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and competitive bidding laws
- Analyze spend data to optimize cost, delivery, and quality
Requirements:- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management or a related business field
- 3+ years of category-based buying and contract negotiation experience
- Experience supporting capital project procurement in heavy industrial environments
- Knowledge of construction delivery models such as DB, CMAR, and IPD
- Strong understanding of competitive bidding, contract law, and risk management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Oracle), and eProcurement tools
- Professional purchasing designation (CSCP, CPIM, CPCM) preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and cross functional collaboration skills
