Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer in the energy sector in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta.
Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the delivery of electrical engineering services on large-scale industrial projects. This senior leadership role combines technical expertise, project execution, stakeholder engagement, and team mentorship. You will be responsible for managing electrical engineering deliverables from design through procurement, construction, and commissioning while ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.

A typical day:

Lead electrical engineering activities for large or mega-scale projects
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables
Oversee procurement activities including requisitions, bid evaluations, and purchase order reviews
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams
Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with project requirements and standards
Mentor engineers and support the development of junior team members

Requirements:

Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering with extensive industry experience
Demonstrate proven experience leading electrical engineering on large industrial projects
Possess strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design practices, and systems
Apply local and international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements effectively
Exhibit excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Deliver high-quality engineering work while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
