Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Lead CNC Programmer in the Manufacturing Industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
Ready to take the technical lead on complex CNC programming? We’re seeking an experienced Lead CNC Programmer to create, optimize, and validate programs for precision machined components. This predominantly office-based role combines advanced Mastercam and SolidWorks programming with hands-on production support and technical leadership. You’ll help expand machining capabilities, tackle challenging parts, and guide other programmers and machinists toward best-in-class results.
Total rewards:

$45.00 - $52.00 hourly
Work primarily in an office-based programming role, with approximately 10% shop-floor support
Take ownership of challenging, complex and multi-axis CNC programming
Help shape machining strategies and expand the organization’s advanced manufacturing capabilities
Join an established precision machining operation with a collaborative, team-oriented environment

A day in the life:

Develop, simulate and verify efficient CNC programs for new and existing precision-machined components
Create and validate solid models while developing tooling, setup and machining strategies for complex parts
Optimize cycle times, setup efficiency, tool life, quality and overall machining productivity
Support CNC setters and operators by troubleshooting machining challenges and providing technical programming guidance
Maintain program, model and revision control while supporting quoting, feasibility reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Successful candidates will have:

Bring 5+ years of Mastercam experience, including advanced multi-axis programming and ideally complex 5-axis components
Bring 5+ years of SolidWorks experience, including creating and verifying models for CNC programming
Demonstrate strong CNC milling knowledge, ideally gained by progressing from hands-on machining and setup into advanced programming
Apply strong knowledge of tooling, setups, machining strategies and tight-tolerance precision manufacturing, with G-code and CNC turning experience considered assets
Demonstrate a collaborative, humble and accountable approach and be comfortable completing an onsite Mastercam and SolidWorks practical assessment
