Agilus is recruiting for a Business Development Manager in the Industrial Manufacturing industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
This leadership role drives new business growth by building, coaching, and leading a high performing business development team in a technical manufacturing environment. The Business Development Manager balances hands on selling with people leadership, pipeline accountability, and strategic market expansion. With a strong field presence, this role shapes sales culture, supports complex opportunities, and ensures disciplined CRM driven execution while positioning the team for long term growth and future leadership evolution.

Total rewards:
  • $120000.00 - $130000.00 annually

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop an outside sales and business development team
  • Set sales targets, KPIs, and activity expectations for each representative
  • Conduct regular one on one coaching, performance reviews, and joint customer visits
  • Oversee CRM accuracy, pipeline hygiene, and opportunity progression
  • Run weekly pipeline reviews and prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Support complex deals through discovery, pricing, and negotiations
  • Identify new markets, strategic accounts, and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and inside sales to align execution

Requirements:
  • Bring proven experience in outside sales within industrial or technical manufacturing
  • Demonstrate success leading or mentoring sales teams in the field
  • Apply strong knowledge of sales process, prospecting volume, and funnel management
  • Use CRM systems effectively to drive accountability and forecasting
  • Communicate confidently with OEMs and large industrial accounts
  • Show technical aptitude selling engineered or industrial products
  • Travel regularly to support reps and customer meetings
  • Hold post secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field
