Structural Design Engineering Manager

Agilus is recruiting for a Structural Design Engineering Manager in the Engineering Sector in Detroit, Michigan. Lead structural engineering projects with a focus on steel and concrete facility design. Drive innovation, mentor teams, and ensure high-quality delivery across industrial and automotive sectors. Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership and oversight for structural design projects.
- Ensure compliance with CSA, AISC, ACI, and other applicable codes.
- Lead and validate design solutions for industrial and automotive facilities.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of drawings and deliverables.
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients and structural projects.
- Oversee site investigations, inspections, and construction coordination.
- Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and technologists.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Successful candidates will have:- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- PE designation or eligible to obtain.
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience, including steel and concrete design.
- 5+ years in a senior or management role.
- Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, Tekla, Revit, Advance Steel.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards.
- Experience in consulting engineering and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain US or Canadian work permit.
