Agilus is recruiting for a Project Coordinator in the Construction field in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Are you highly organized, safety-driven, and ready to play a central role in project delivery from start to finish? We’re looking for a Project & Safety Coordinator to join our team and help drive successful project execution while championing safety, efficiency, and collaboration across all operations.
Total rewards:- $22.00 - $25.00 hourly
- Day shift- Monday to Friday
- Weekly pay + 4% vacation
- Temp to Permanent
- Full time hours
Responsibilities:- working with excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data management
- front desk operations, including phone management and client interactions
- Manage project handovers and mobilization processes (scope, schedules, resources)
- Prepare contracts, tender documents, and track estimating timelines
- Support scheduling and ensure daily scope updates are communicated
- Coordinate crews, equipment, and materials based on project needs
- Monitor equipment reports and schedule maintenance as needed
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance across all projects and review safety documentation (JHAs, site-specific safety plans)
Requirements:- Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, construction, or a similar operational role
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Expert in Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
- Familiarity with construction documentation (contracts, tenders, scope of work, change management)
- Experience managing electronic filing systems and maintaining accurate project records
