Agilus is recruiting for a Dispatcher in the Waste management industry in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced role ideal for someone who thrives in a coordination-heavy environment. You’ll be the central point of contact for drivers and commercial clients, handling inbound calls and ensuring smooth dispatching of newly established routes. Your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and respond quickly will be key to the success of this role.
What's in it for you:

$23.75 hourly
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Weekly pay + 4% vacation pay
Opportunity to be part of a high-impact project with province-wide reach
2.5 week contract- could extend

Responsibilities:

Handle inbound calls from drivers and commercial clients across the province
Dispatch and coordinate new routes efficiently and accurately
Monitor route progress and provide real-time support to drivers
Maintain clear communication with internal teams and clients
Troubleshoot issues and escalate when necessary
Communicate updates, delays, or changes to drivers and clients proactively
Assist in scheduling and route planning based on demand and service requirements

Successful candidates will have:

4 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation coordination required
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proficiency with dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
