E/I Commissioning Lead / Planner – Fly-In/Fly-Out Camp Role | Oil Sands Projects
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Contract OCT E/I Commissioning / Planner Leads in the Energy & Natural Resources – Oil & Gas in .
Join a high-performing operations team supporting large-scale oil sands projects. This role leads commissioning planning for instrumentation, controls, and electrical scope, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution. Ideal for a seasoned trades professional with strong CMMS expertise and a passion for structured planning, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Total rewards:

$108.00 hourly
Fly-in/fly-out or bus-in camp-based assignments
Full-service camp accommodation provided
Transportation from designated hubs including Calgary and Edmonton
Exposure to major oil sands commissioning and turnaround events
Opportunity to support large-scale maintenance and shutdown planning
Weekly pay
Preferred rates for benefit coverage available

A typical day:

Develop detailed work order job plans and structured work packages
Review and prioritise work notifications based on urgency and schedule
Coordinate labour, materials, tools, and external services for execution
Align planning activities with maintenance, operations, and engineering
Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and outage planning events
Track KPIs including backlog, readiness, utilisation, and cost metrics
Ensure compliance with site procedures, workflows, and standards
Integrate safety requirements into all plans and execution strategies

Successful candidates will have:

Hold a Journeyman Trade Certification
Bring 8+ years of industrial experience at Journeyman level
Demonstrate strong experience with CMMS systems
Exhibit strong planning, organisation, and coordination skills
Show ability to prioritise and manage competing work demands
Apply knowledge of maintenance workflows and lifecycle processes
Demonstrate commitment to safety standards and practices
Hold legal authorisation to work in Canada
