Training Data Technician

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Training Data Technician in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
The Training Data Technician is responsible for supporting the effective execution of training programmes through scheduling, data management, and coordination with both corporate and field teams. Working in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, the Technician must be a self-starter capable of quickly adapting to systems and processes with minimal supervision. The role requires strong technical proficiency in Workday Learning, Power BI, and Microsoft Office tools, along with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including field crews.

Total rewards:
  • $34.00 - $40.00 hourly
  • 9 hour days - 1st and third fridays off
  • Monday to friday
  • 12 Months of contract

A typical day:
  • This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate training records, supporting safety-related reporting, and ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage training schedules to meet operational and business needs.
  • Maintain and validate training records using Workday Learning and internal systems.
  • Analyze training and safety data and generate reports using Power BI and Excel.
  • Update and manage safety tickets within internal tracking systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across training records, Prepare for audits by reviewing data and supporting corrective actions.
  • Edit and maintain high volumes of training documentation in line with standards, Communicate with field personnel and stakeholders regarding training and safety updates.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve training processes and workflows.

Successful candidates will have:
  • Strong experience with Workday Learning and Power BI reporting and workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and analyse large volumes of data accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Self-starter with the ability to work independently and “hit the ground running”.
  • Understanding of operations, safety, or EH&S environments is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in business administration or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, audits, or training systems is advantageous.
