Technical Writer III

Technical writers do a lot of work on their own typically, but this role is heavy team based, and interacting with a really wide variety of stakeholders.Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Technical Writer III in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. Total rewards:- $50.00 - $60.00 hourly
- 6 Months of contract position
A typical day:- Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
- May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document.
- Technical writer with good understanding of document and quality control in a regulated environment.
- A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements in document control and quality assurance.
- Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Successful candidates will have:- Bachelor's degree in a related area and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Technical writer with good understanding of document and quality control in a regulated environment.
- SharePoint skills– proficiency in using SharePoint for collaborative work, version control.
Advanced skills in Microsoft word – styles management, complex document formatting, template creating
Visio – proficiency in creating workflows for Processes
Proficiency in editing and using advanced features in Adobe.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Adaptability to learn new software and processes as needed.
- Ability to interact with subject matter experts and gather necessary technical information.
