We are seeking a Sr. Contracts Specialist professional to join our clients dynamic teamAgilus is recruiting for a Sr. Contracts Specialist in the oil and gas sector in Calgary, Alberta. The Senior Contracts Specialist is a key business partner to internal operational teams, providing expert guidance and full lifecycle support for operational contracts. This role focuses on ongoing, day-to-day operational contracting Total rewards:- $130.00 annually
- Permanent Position starting ASAP
- Salary: $130K based on experience
- Monday to Friday in office
- 4 weeks vacation + 4 flex days annually

Responsibilities:- Serve as a strategic partner to internal operational groups, understanding their ongoing contracting needs and advising on the most appropriate contracting approaches.
- Plan, draft, and administer Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including evaluation, scoring, and recommendation processes.
- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts—from initial planning through execution, amendments, renewals, and final close-out or retirement.
- Conduct annual vendor performance reviews, monitor KPIs, and ensure service levels and deliverables are met.
- Provide expert guidance on contract structures, commercial frameworks, and procurement processes.

Ensure compliance with
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, service levels, and performance expectations with vendors.
- Build strong relationships with business units, providing clear guidance on commercial considerations, risk mitigation, and procurement best practices.
You bring:- 10–15+ years of progressive experience in contracts management, supply chain, or procurement roles
- Strong background in operational contracts (services, maintenance, recurring operational support)
- Demonstrated experience managing full contract lifecycles, including RFP development, negotiation, execution, and close-out.
- Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and support long-term operational relationships
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience mentoring or coaching team members is considered an asset
- ERP systems experience
