Senior Tax Reporting Specialist (Global Tax) permanent opportunity open in SE Calgary!
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Tax Reporting Specialist in the energy sector in Calgary, Alberta.
We're working with our client to hire an experienced tax professional to lead the company's global income tax reporting and tax provision processes. This role works closely with Finance, Accounting, and external auditors to ensure accurate tax reporting, financial statement disclosures, and compliance with IFRS and ASC 740.
What's in it for you:

105K - 155K annually
Yearly bonus, 10%
Schedule: Monday to Friday, full time in-office

Responsibilities:

Lead the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process
Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations and related disclosures
Support financial reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS, IAS 12, and ASC 740
Coordinate with external auditors and support tax-related audits
Identify process improvements, manage tax risks, and support internal controls

Requirements:

CPA designation or equivalent accounting/tax background preferred
5+ years of tax reporting, tax provision, or corporate tax experience
Strong experience with ASC 740 tax provisions and IFRS/IAS 12
Experience working in a public accounting firm or large corporate tax environment
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Global or multinational tax reporting experience will be an asset
Experience with OneSource or similar tax provision software preferred
Knowledge of SOX/internal control requirements preferred
