Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Logistics Specialist in the energy sector in Calgary, Alberta.
We're working with our client to hire a Senior Logistics Specialist for their team. This is a contract to permanent hire. We're looking for someone who has run logistics for large industrial projects, can coordinate complex shipments end-to-end, and is comfortable working with vendors, project teams, and cross-border regulations.
Responsibilities:

Tracking logistics KPIs and providing recommendations to improve performance
Managing relationships with vendors and transportation providers
Executing logistics strategies for major industrial projects in an oil and gas
Ensuring cost optimization, coordinating route assessments, and movement executions
Coordinating cross-border shipments, permitting, and monitoring freight performance
Supporting logistics on site like inspections, offloading coordination, site readiness planning, and documentation
Travelling to site occasionally and meeting with vendors

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in a senior logistics, expediting, or supply chain role
Experience with complex large-scale industrial and oil and gas projects
Fluency with enterprise systems; Maximo, JDE or similar
Experience with cross-border logistics (Canada and the US)
Strong negotiation skills and experience successfully negotiating with vendors
Post-secondary education in relevant field like supply chain management or business
