Senior Financial Analyst (CFA)

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Chartered Financial Analyst in the education sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Chartered Financial Analyst to support senior executive leadership on a critical 3-month engagement. This role will work directly with the Vice President, providing financial analysis, reporting, and modeling expertise to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives.
What's in it for you:

$40.00 - $60.00 hourly
3-month contract (chance of extension)
Monday to Friday, full time hours
Location: downtown Calgary

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance sophisticated financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
Prepare executive-level financial reports, analyses, and presentations for the CFO and senior leadership team.
Analyze financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning activities.
Consolidate and interpret financial data from multiple sources to inform business decisions.
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as required.
Partner with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.

Requirements:

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation required.
Proven experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, and complex financial modeling.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and data manipulation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
Experience supporting C-suite executives, particularly CFOs.
Background in corporate finance, FP&A, investment analysis, consulting, or strategic finance.
