New Senior Buyer role open now in downtown Calgary! One-year contract, $45/hour+
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Buyer in the oil and gas sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Our oil and gas client in downtown Calgary is actively hiring for a Buyer to join their team. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role, perfect for someone with around 10 years of experience and advanced SAP experience.
What's in it for you:

$45.00 - $61.00 hourly
1-year contract with high chance of extension and opportunity to be hired permanently
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
Work model: in office Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays
Location: downtown Calgary

Responsibilities:

Manage purchasing activities in SAP, including reviewing requisitions, issuing competitive RFQs/RFPs, and analyzing supplier bids.
Create and oversee purchase orders, resolve invoice discrepancies, and act as the primary contact for all PO-related matters.
Procure engineered and operational materials while coordinating closely with suppliers, engineering, legal, risk, project teams, and other stakeholders.
Lead procurement for assigned projects or commodities, negotiate commercial terms using bid and technical evaluation data, and drive cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives.
Provide insights to business leaders by monitoring supplier performance, cost drivers, market trends, and future supply chain needs.

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in full cycle procurement
Advanced SAP user
Experience in a high-volume purchasing environment
Power BI or Ariba experience preferred
