Senior Analyst Gas Scheduling

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Analyst Gas Scheduling in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
The primary responsibility of the Gas Scheduling role is to facilitate the scheduling of gas on the Westcoast pipeline system. Gas Schedulers drawing on an understanding of the Westcoast pipeline system and the natural gas industry to assess nominations, confirmations and capacity constraints to ensure gas scheduling cycles are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Total rewards:

$60.00 hourly
12 months of contract position
Regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
Office-based role, Calgary

A typical day:

Nominations and Gas Scheduling: Meet gas cycle deadlines as set by the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB), Ensure all gas day processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
Utilize LINK gas management system to assess nominations, confirmations, scheduled quantities, and customer imbalances, Manage capacity constraints; ensure authorized capacity is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
Contract Administration: Communicate with account managers and customers regarding renewals, open season bids, and any issues that may arise, Create new contracts and contract amendments as requested.
Oversee approval process for all new or amended contracts and assignments, Assist customers in submission and execution of contracts.
Customer Service: Develop and maintain positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, responding to issues with a sense of ownership and proactive support, Respond to a variety of customer inquiries, including contracts, nominations, scheduling, and system usage.
Facilitate training for our shipper community and internal clients, Track customers’ business issues; ensure resolution in a timely and accurate manner.
Other Responsibilities: Develop and maintain daily commercial process documentation and records management, Recommend improvements to existing processes, Perform testing for system modifications and enhancements.
Support the Gas Scheduling team to ensure adequate coverage at all times (including evenings, weekends and holidays), Build knowledge of the Westcoast pipeline system and operations.

Successful candidates will have:

This role is focused on maintenance and development of Gas Scheduling and Contract Administration responsibilities.
The incumbent is capable of managing gas scheduling tasks independently, and works cooperatively within a dynamic team environment.
2 years of previous scheduling experience or comparable industry experience, Gas scheduling or other relevant experience is an asset.
Self-starter with a proactive approach to issues, Exhibits customer service orientation and relationship management competency, Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Flexible and adaptable approach, together with strong analytical and problem solving skills, Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines, Willingness to learn and actively build knowledge.
Prior experience in a related field, Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
Knowledge of the Westcoast pipeline system would be valuable, Understanding of natural gas markets would be considered an asset.
Proven aptitude with computer system, Team orientation.
