Reporting Analyst

Agilus is recruiting for a Reporting Analyst in the Oil and Gas Industry in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta.
The Reporting Analyst will focus on portfolio-level project reporting and insights. In this role, you will help leadership understand how major programs and projects are performing, using data, reports, and clear executive presentations

A day in the life:
  • Creates and maintains weekly and monthly portfolio reports for leadership
  • Builds executive presentation decks (Directors, VPs, senior leaders)
  • Manage the annual reporting calendar, ensuring alignment with leadership, governance, and decision-making timelines.
  • Analyzes project data to explain what’s on track, what’s not, and why
  • Conduct project variance analysis, probability assessments, and ad-hoc analytics to support leadership inquiries and strategic decisions.
  • Tracks project risks, variances, and schedule or cost impacts
  • Maintains reporting tools, dashboards, and SharePoint sites
  • Coordinates reporting timelines and ensures everything is accurate, consistent, and on time

You bring:
  • 5–8 years of experience in project controls, reporting, analytics, or PMO environments
  • Strong in Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI is a big plus)
  • Understanding of cost, schedule, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Comfortable preparing materials for senior leadership
  • Can manage multiple recurring reports plus urgent ad hoc requests
  • Nice to have: experience with large capital or infrastructure programs and translating technical data into business insights.
  • Degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or related field

Total rewards:
  • $60.00 hourly
  • One year contract position
  • Pay rate: $60 hourly or $61 to $70 as an incorporated
  • Hybrid Work Model: Mon, Tues, Thurs from office / Weds, Fri from home.
