Procurement Advisor

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Procurement Advisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
The SCM team is currently looking for an individual to support the Midstream Capital Project portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement lifecycle activities supporting capital projects across Midstream assets. Midstream plays a key role in unique integrated model. Our Midstream Assets enable to maximize the products we produce, transport in the most economical way and sell to the most profitable markets:

Total rewards:
  • $64.00 - $75.00 hourly
  • 12 Months of contract position
  • 5 days on/2 days off
  • Work location :Calgary
  • Pay rate on IC:75$/hr Pay rate on T4:64$/HR

A typical day:
  • Manage the portfolio and actively participate in meetings to collate demand, evaluate business requirements, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Source, procure and ensure timely delivery of material and services.
  • Develop RFQ packages, bid evaluation and selection criteria, lead negotiations and form Purchase Orders for material and service commitments.
  • Manage the Purchase Order process, including formation, change management, and close-out activities.
  • Advise business stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of supply chain.
  • Drive compliance with SCM policies, processes, procedures, and strategies.

Successful candidates will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6+ years of directly related professional experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience.
  • Experience in procurement, contract management, and/or strategic sourcing, with demonstrated capability in leading sourcing events, negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  • Experience in successfully leading cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams to develop and execute projects, initiatives, strategies, or other opportunities to drive outstanding results and value creation.
  • Highly developed analytical and business acumen - solid business insight and commercial skills with a continuous improvement mindset and the capability to get results.
  • Understanding of and experience with engineering & construction project processes, and of the interfaces and roles of a Project team, A strong understanding of contracting and commercial concepts and processes, along with strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to quickly build trust and respectful relationships with diverse groups, Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Livelink, and Tableau, Recognized professional designations and training (SCMP, PMP, Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.) is a preference Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
