Pipeline Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for a Pipeline Engineer IV - ENBJP00027715 in the Oil and Gas Sector in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for the design oversight and construction execution support of pipelines and associated facilities supporting projects Total rewards:- $86.00 - $100.00 hourly
- Pay Rates T4 $80/hr to $86/hr and IC between $90/hr to $100/hr
- 1 year contract Star April 2026
- Location: Calgary or Edmonton
- Work Model: Hybrid (Mon, Tues, Thurs in office / Weds, Fri from home)
- 40 working hours per week
A typical day:- Ensure that all pipelines and associated facilities are designed in accordance with all regulations, applicable industry codes and corporate specifications and standards.
- Responsible for scheduling, cost control (cost estimates), and forecasting for the design work and for reporting these to the Pipeline Engineering Supervisor and Project Manager.
- Provide guidance in design reviews with outside engineering firms and with internal stakeholders.
- Work with Procurement & Supply Chain team to purchase materials and to contract Engineering related service providers.
- Provide technical assistance during construction and assist with on-site commissioning.
- Assist with the regulatory process by providing preliminary layout drawings, technical project descriptions, and other requested information for use in the application filing.
Successful candidates will have:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and must have a Professional Engineering designation (P Eng) with APEGA.
- Minimum 6 years of pipeline industry experience required such as experience on pipeline routing selections and design and working with geotechnical and hydro technical hazards
- In depth, detailed knowledge of applicable codes such as CSA Z662, DOT CFR 192, DOT CFR 195, ASME B31, NACE, etc. Familiarity and knowledge of materials standards & specifications (CSA, ASME, API, etc.). Trenchless design and feasibility analysis. Pipeline stress analysis and software, CEPA surface loading calculation.
- Role requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire
- · Office environment.
· 10-20% travel to sites and other offices (inc. USA)
