Logistics Advisor – Freight Payables

Agilus is recruiting for a Logistics Advisor – Freight Payables in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. Join the Transportation Support team and play a critical role in ensuring logistics partners receive correct and timely payments for Rail, Truck & Marine freight services.
As a member of the Freight Payables team, you will develop relationships with internal stakeholders & service providers, and be accountable for freight invoice management and payments. You’ll be ensuring invoices are processed accurately, maintain vendor account data and rates, and use your communication and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies. Total rewards:- $30.00 - $40.00 hourly
- 1 year contract
- Mon to Fri - 40 hours per week - All days in office
- Calgary downtown office
A typical day:- Analyze, enter & manage different types of freight invoices
- Ensure payments will process as expected, and work with Operations teams to understand and address issues
- Manage & communicate freight payable concerns, including troubleshooting system issues and vendor inquiries, to ensure timely resolution
- Work independently, in a supplier-focused environment, acting as a key point of contact for internal & external stakeholders
- A questioning attitude to surface problems: you check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions and learn to anticipate potential problems that may create discrepancies
Successful candidates will have:- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, SCM, Accounting/Finance or similar
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a Logistics position
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, and SAP experience
