IT Procurement Specialist

Buyer - IT Services needed in downtown Calgary! Start ASAP, one-year contract, $50/hour+
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an IT Procurement Specialist in the oil and gas sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Join a high-impact procurement team supporting critical IT and corporate service initiatives. This role offers a strong mix of strategic sourcing, vendor management, and operational procurement, with exposure to cross-functional stakeholders and enterprise-level systems.
Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities to improve cost, efficiency, and procurement processes
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate across Supply Chain Management teams on shared priorities
Manage end-to-end procurement for IT, corporate, and field service categories, including purchase orders and supplier coordination
Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver procurement solutions
Manage the purchase order lifecycle (creation, updates, tracking, issue resolution) and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and service performance
Support and participate in competitive sourcing events (RFx), including documentation and evaluation
Assist with contract negotiations, renewals, and commercial reviews and contribute to vendor performance management and relationship development

Requirements:

Experience supporting or leading RFx processes and negotiations
Excellent understanding of sourcing practices within IT services
5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing within IT and Corporate Services
Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (designations are an asset)
Experience with SAP (required) and Ariba (preferred)
