Inventory Reconciliation Analyst

Agilus is recruiting for a Inventory Reconciliation Analyst in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
The Hydrocarbon Inventory Operations and Control objective is to provide assurance of complete and accurate hydrocarbon data for our business partners in Finance, Supply & Trading and Sales and Marketing

Total rewards:
  • $40.00 - $55.00 hourly
  • Competitive Compensation depending on experience
  • Location - Calgary downtown office
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday - All days in office
  • 6 months contract to start with a potential of extension

A typical day:
  • Complete daily inventory reconciliation of many distribution terminals across Canada, inclusive of owned and third-party locations including ensuring receipts and sales are posted in SAP
  • Analyze abnormal stock variations as they occur, troubleshoot & work with respective terminal staff to determine cause & correct transaction(s) if necessary
  • Complete month-end reconciliation packages for owned terminals demonstrating completeness of inventory movements for sales and receipt in support of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control compliance requirements
  • Work with cross functional counterparts in Supply Accounting, Trucking, Supply Ops and Terminal Ops, to support orbit shifting and urgent supply requirements
  • Support development and tracking of new KPIs and operational performance metrics
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders including finance, scheduling and IT teams, to support requirements gathering to deliver process and technology improvements

Successful candidates will have:
  • 3+ years of reconciliation, inventory, or accounting experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or other applicable field
  • Working knowledge of SAP S4, SAP Fiori, etc
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite including the MS Power platform (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, etc.)
  • Basic to good understanding of adjacent roles such as scheduling (rail, pipe, marine) as we are working towards a more unified inventory position
  • High degree of process and technology change is occurring (AI, software updates, automation tool enhancements, etc.) requiring a level of resilience, adaptability, and perseverance to navigate changes
