Intermediate Completions Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for a Intermediate Completions Engineer in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. Total rewards:- $75.00 - $85.00 hourly
- 7 Months of contract position
A typical day:- This is typically regarded as a fully qualified professional engineering level, Provides professional leadership to optimize outcomes in an assigned area.
- Works on large projects or more complicated parts of smaller projects, Provides technical advice in assigned area.
- Reviews and makes independent studies, analysis, interpretations and conclusions relating to assigned projects, Carries out responsible and varied engineering assignments requiring general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields.
- Identifies risk and mitigating activities. Identifies barriers to implementation and plans accordingly Applies Process Safety Standards in development of design and execution of Change Management Participates in planning, design development, construction of producing facilities, reviewing and analyzing operating conditions and performance.
- Develops solutions to routine but complex problems. Problems usually solved by use of combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures or method developed in previous assignments.
- Uses independent judgement in the selection, organization and adaptation of work methods, Work is not generally supervised in detail - amount of supervision varies depending upon the assignment.
- Technical guidance normally available to review work programs and advise on unusual features of assignment, May give technical guidance to more junior engineers or technicians assigned to work on common project, and act as mentor to more junior engineers Difficult, complex or unusual matters or decisions are usually referred to more senior authority.
Successful candidates will have:- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent with 5-7 years' work experience.
- Fully competent in all standard techniques/ procedures.
- Uses advanced design & analysis software tools to conduct analyses & develop recommendations.
- General familiarity with a broad field of engineering and/or a sound knowledge sound knowledge of engineering principles within a specific field, along with the knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields Can clearly define complex multivariable problems.
- Requires strong interpersonal & communications skills to deal with management & technical staff in a positive & constructive manner.
- Good knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
