Financial Analyst

Agilus is recruiting for a Financial Analyst in the oil & gas industry in Calgary, Alberta. The commodity tax advisor will be regularly exposed to a wide range of commodity taxes in both a compliance and advisory support capacity. Total rewards:- $40.00 - $52.00 hourly
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday 8hours a day, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.
A typical day:- Preparation and filing of commodity tax returns including those for fuel tax, excise tax, sales tax and GST/HST, among others.
- Provision of commodity tax advice to internal stakeholders.
- Supports commodity tax team members to administer commodity tax compliance activities and to respond to regulatory audit inquiries including data extraction.
Successful candidates will have:- Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Two years of Canadian commodity tax compliance experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with SAP, including S4 HANA, is desirable.
- Experience with Power Platform (i.e. Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query) is desirable.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a deadline driven environment.
