Cybersecurity Awareness & Communications Specialist

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Social Engineering Specialis in the oil and gas industry in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta.
We're seeking a Social Engineering Specialist to lead and enhance an enterprise-wide human risk reduction program. In this highly visible role, you'll design realistic attack simulations, influence security culture, and help build organizational resilience against evolving threats, including AI-driven social engineering attacks.
Total rewards:

$55.00 - $60.00 hourly
Contract position until April 2027 con chance of extension
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office)
Build expertise within the fast-growing cybersecurity industry
Pay Rate: Up to $60/hr T4 or $68/hr Incorporated
Collaborate with communications, enterprise security, project teams, and leadership
Develop executive reporting, presentation, and strategic communication skills
Work with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools and content development
Highly visible role with enterprise-wide impact

A typical day:

Develop cybersecurity awareness communications, campaigns, and engagement initiatives
Create executive-ready presentations, briefing materials, dashboards, and reports
Analyze reporting metrics, identify trends, and ensure data quality and accuracy
Deliver awareness training sessions and support employee engagement programs
Review and refine communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and professionalism
Translate cybersecurity risks and technical concepts into accessible business language
Partner with enterprise security, communications, OCM, and project teams on awareness initiatives
Support awareness roadshows, leadership presentations, and organizational change efforts

Successful candidates will have:

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
Advanced PowerPoint and executive presentation development experience
Strong facilitation, training, and employee engagement capabilities
Experience analyzing metrics, reporting data, and identifying trends
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business-friendly messaging
Experience supporting or presenting to executive stakeholders
Excellent editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
