Contracts Analyst

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Contracts Analyst in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a strategic, results-driven professional to join our Supply Chain organization as a Contracts Advisor focused on material and/or service contracting. This is a one year contract position with potential for extension. As a subject matter expert, you will negotiate and manage the lifecycle of contracts and build strong relationships with the business and suppliers to deliver measurable cost, risk, and efficiency improvements. Total rewards:- $64.00 - $75.00 hourly

- 5 days on/2 days off
A typical day:- Identify cost-reduction opportunities through market analysis, supplier collaboration, demand management and monitoring of category spend.
- Apply data-driven insights to challenge specifications, service delivery models, and commercial structures to achieve sustainable cost savings.
- Lead sourcing-to-contract events, ensuring commercial outcomes balance cost efficiency, performance, and risk mitigation.
- Design innovative commercial and negotiation strategies that drive competitive advantage and cost improvement.
- Manage supplier performance with emphasis on cost control, productivity, and continuous improvement and identify innovation opportunities.
- Manage project contract planning, contract strategy development, sourcing and negotiation activities through contract formation and approval and claims / warranty management activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into sourcing strategies that maximize cost efficiency.
Successful candidates will have:- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Supply Chain
- 5–7 years of related professional experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience (experience with Inspections, Testing and Cranes is preferred)
- Proven track record in cost optimization, cost modeling, and total cost-of-ownership analysis.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills with multi-year, service-based contracts.
- Deep understanding of cost drivers, contracting models, and risk management in complex service markets.
- Skilled in using SAP, Ariba, MyTrack and spend analytics tools to support sourcing and cost optimization initiatives.
- Strong financial, business acumen, and commercial capabilities, ability to lead others in connecting ideas, events and circumstances to identify effective business solutions in a complex environment.
