Contract Specialist needed for a 1-year contract role in downtown Calgary!Agilus is recruiting for a Contract Specialist in the oil and gas sector in Calgary, Alberta. Our client is seeking a Contract Analyst/Specialist to join their Corporate Services Contracts Team, supporting indirect procurement with a strong focus on Information Systems (IS). This team manages sourcing and contracts for software, hardware, and professional services. The role works closely with business units and key suppliers in a highly collaborative, customer-focused environment. What's in it for you:- $60.00 hourly
- One-year contract
- Location: downtown Calgary
- Schedule/Work Model: full time in-office, Monday to Friday, core hours 8am to 5pm
Responsibilities:- Support full contract lifecycle for IS-related software, hardware, and services.
- Lead RFx processes, including preparing bid documents, evaluating proposals, and supporting contract negotiations.
- Translate business needs into clear procurement requirements and sourcing strategies.
- Conduct market research and gather data from internal experts and suppliers.
- Recommend contract awards and support approvals
- Manage ongoing supplier performance, KPIs, and quarterly reporting for key vendors.
- Assist with resolving contract or supplier issues and support stakeholder engagement.
- Utilize systems such as SAP and Ariba to track and manage procurement activity.
Requirements:- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Customer-service mindset with excellent communication abilities.
- Experience running end-to-end RFP processes.
- Familiarity with supplier performance management, KPIs, and SLA tracking.
