Data Analyst (IT/OT) – Drive Automation & Insights in Industrial Data Environments
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Contract IT Data Analyst in the Energy (Oil & Gas) / Data & Analytics in Calgary, Alberta.

Total rewards:

$70.00 - $83.00 hourly
Exposure to IT/OT and industrial data ecosystems
Preferred rates for benefit coverage available
Weekly pay including 4% vacation pay

A typical day:

Collect, integrate, and manage data from diverse IT/OT sources
Design and maintain ETL pipelines and data storage solutions
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards
Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
Develop data models to support forecasting and optimisation
Build dashboards, reports, and visualisations including write-back solutions
Translate business requirements into data-driven insights
Identify optimisation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Successful candidates will have:

Demonstrate 5+ years’ experience in data analytics or related roles
Apply strong SQL expertise and working proficiency in Python
Use Power BI for visualisation and reporting
Understand data modelling and data processing techniques
Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Collaborate effectively across technical and business stakeholders
Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
Note: A mandatory technical assessment (Python and SQL) will be required for shortlisted candidates.
