Commodity Tax Advisor

Agilus is recruiting for a Financial Analyst in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. Are you a commodity tax professional looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, fast paced environment? The commodity tax advisor will be regularly exposed to a wide range of commodity taxes in both a compliance and advisory support capacity Total rewards:- $40.00 - $60.00 hourly
- Calgary downtown office
- Mon to Friday 40 hours per week - All days in office
- 1 year contract
A typical day:- Preparation and filing of commodity tax returns including those for fuel tax, excise tax, sales tax and GST/HST, among others
- Provision of commodity tax advice to internal stakeholders
- Supports commodity tax team members to administer commodity tax compliance activities and to respond to regulatory audit inquiries including data extraction
Successful candidates will have:- Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Two years of Canadian commodity tax compliance experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel
- Experience with SAP, including S4 HANA, is desirable
- Experience with Power Platform (i.e. Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query) is desirable
