Agilus is recruiting for a Business Development Manager in the workforce management solutions sector in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. This role will represent Stream Source, an Indigenous recruitment and contractor management organization that reinvest in local Nations and operated by Agilus. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who brings commercial acumen, cultural awareness, and a commitment to supporting Indigenous economic participation. A day in the life:- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across the Alberta markets
- Develop and execute territory and account growth strategies that drive sustainable revenue
- Build a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, and market presence
- Lead opportunities end-to-end, from initial engagement and needs discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
- Foster trusted partnerships with Indigenous communities, clients, and contractors to support local employment, subcontracting, and shared economic outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams to design workforce solutions that align with client goals and community priorities
Successful candidates will have:- Demonstrated ability to lead opportunities through to close, including negotiating terms, securing agreements, and converting relationships into sustainable revenue
- Experience in the staffing or workforce solutions industry, ideally within the Energy sectors
- Demonstrated success in a consultative, sales-driven role with strong knowledge of the Alberta markets
- An understanding of the historical and contemporary realities affecting Indigenous Peoples, gained through Indigenous Studies, professional experience, or lived experience
- A relationship-first approach, with the ability to earn trust through curiosity, credibility, and a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes
