Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Auditor (Intermediate) in the oil and gas industry in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta.
This role blends accounting, systems, and cross-functional collaboration—ideal for professionals looking to grow into future finance systems or corporate accounting leadership roles.
A typical day:

Analyze monthly and quarterly interest income variances
Prepare journal entries related to restricted investments
Support accounting for insurance programs and captive structures
Prepare financial statement and note disclosures
Perform SAP testing for intercompany loans and derivatives
Collaborate with Finance and IT teams on system enhancements
Support treasury-related processes (FX, multi-currency, workflows)
Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Successful candidates will have:

6+ years of progressive accounting / audit experience
CPA designation (or equivalent)
Strong SAP experience (testing/configuration highly
Solid understanding of US GAAP (required)
Experience with financial reporting and variance analysis
Exposure to consolidations and intercompany accounting

Total rewards:

$40.00 - $48.00 hourly
Long-term contract (18+ months with extension potential)
Work across finance, IT, and corporate accounting teams
Start Date: August 4, 2026
Location: Downtown
